9. Visit the German Christmas Market
This is a late fall activity. But although Christmas isn’t until late December, of course, the Christmas Market in Quebec City kicks off on November 22nd! The market will evoke famous European winter festivals. With tons of holiday and seasonal goodies on sale, it’s the perfect place for some early holiday shopping!
8. Enjoy panoramic views from the Citadelle
The citadelle sits at the very top of Quebec City. Today a museum and an official residence of the Governor General of Canada, it played a significant role in the British domination of New France. Climb up to the top to enjoy sweeping views of the Saint-Lawrence River basin and surrounding mountains. When the foliage reaches its peak, the citadelle will be the ideal spot for a cozy fall picnic.
