5 amazing animals of South Korea

With South Korea hosting the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games it’s a great time to learn more about the country. So let’s find out by looking at some of its most interesting furry and feathered residents! amazing things, amazing things,amazing things

1. Red-crowned crane

This tall bird has a dramatic appearance, with a white body and black neck and tail feathers. It gets its name from the red patch of feathers on top of its head. There are only two major populations of this crane left in the wild — one group lives year-round in Japan and the other spends the summer in Siberia and northern China before migrating to South Korea for the winter. It’s a protected and important bird in South Korea — there’s even a traditional folk dance called the Crane Dance!
